I'm trying to start PA on SteamOS. I've tried it on two different laptops, both running SteamOS beta. All I get is a black screen. If I go to the desktop and run the game from /home/steam/.steam/<somethingsomething>/PA the game starts fine in windowed mode. Any Ideas?
Can you please post here information of what hardware you have? E.g video card models are most important.
We have done _zero_ testing so far on Steam OS. We look forward to seeing what you all figure out. Eventually, it will be one of our primary target platforms, but.. not quite yet.
One laptop is a Dell Precision M4500 with a Nvidia Quadro 1800m GPU, 1GB vram, i7 640 CPU. The other is a Dell Precision M6500 with a Nvidia Quadro 3800m GPU, 1 GB vram. i7 620 CPU. Both have 8 GB of system RAM,
Try to run Steam though console, then run PA though it then you'll see all PA output, probably there is some libraries missing. As alternative you can set PA output redirection into log using "Set launch options..." button. You need something like that: Code: >/tmp/file.log 2>&1
