    planet:
    metal makers
    advanced metal makers
solar power plants (more energy when the sun is shining than normal power plants, no sun = no power)
    wind power plants
    radar jammer
    advanced radar jammers
    shild generators
    advanced shild generators
research facility (attack +1-3 armor +1-3 for each vehicles kbots and aircrafts)

    space:
    spaceshipyard (producing space ships)
dyson sphere (you know huge metalcase around the sun - massive energy output)

Most likely not at release, maybe later on but I wouldnt count on that.

    Wont be in. Especially research.

Radar jammers are to be added to the game as far as I know and I have strong hopes for alternate power sources.

It is a bit arrogant to ask for two versions of a building, without explaining why we need even one.
Different power sources are discussed in length. There is already orbital solar plant and a gas-harvesting unit for gas giants was confirmed. No info about everything else.
Discussed in length and I think overall community reaction was positive, but I don't recall any info from the devs.
Orbital factory is confirmed, but there will be no starwars/startrek/whatever starships and space battles.
Way too hard to implement technically, so it's highly unlikely.

Also, please, read the FAQ and do a search next time.

No spaceships (as it would make other stuff like air or naval or even ground redundant), no shields (makes more ballancing issues), no research (why even need that one ... like for what i dont see any fun in that)

The Devs have said that they want progression to be 'WYSIWYG' - so a mechanic for advancement that isn't visible to your opponent is not likely to make it into the game.

They also give more complexity. And this game is already pretty damn complex.

To the average noob it is very complex.

To us *veterans* it seems a bit simplified.

I see you're new to the forums, and welcome! You should do a search before posting. There's lots and lots of discussion on the buildings you're requesting.

    1 & 2: Confirmed no
3 & 4: Lots and lots of discussion on this. Maybe.
    5 & 6: We don't know
7 & 8: Confirmed now. Traditional bubble shields are way OP and not productive in with PA's gameplay style.
9: Confirmed no. Research is what killed SupCom 2. We don't want it here.
10: Star Wars/Star Trek style space combat is a confirmed no. It'd just be way too many things going on at once for it to be a valid form of gameplay.
11: Sounds like just a really big solar plant that only one team can build. Not a fan.

Again, I'd highly recommend that you do a search on any of these other topics to find many many pages and pages of discussion on these topics.

Actually they started saying that they weren't certain after a bit of discussion, but large space ships are unlikely to be in on release I agree. However certain things like a carrier that only did repair operations or maybe minor manufacturing in orbit woudl be a cool, but I think non unbalancing unit.

Mobilr factories would be a fun unit, especially in invasions. (I mean a factory that build on the ground, but can tread slowly over to a space port, fly up into space, move over to another planet, land, and start building.

this game is complex? I highly recommand you to never try star craft 2

    (will use search next time)

I'd like to see larger space transporters from an orbital factory to get larger amounts of troops to other planets
there follows that you build stuff to stopthose ship in space
you could make it so that those ships cant fire at planets or units on planets

What's the difference between a space battleship and an asteroid with Halleys + nukes that you can park above someone else's planet? :)

You can fit the asterroid as you need it and more often then not it has more powerfull weapons ... best thing? It GIVES you ressources instead of costing you any

And what is the difference between orbital and space units?

Orbital mostly refers to satalites and stationary stuff that is influenced by orbital/gravitational motion .... we mostly use the term spaceunits to refer to navallike or aircraftlike units that are in space .. may be even deepspaceharbors or instalations
.... as we can see space battles in PA do only happen around the orbit of a planetoid .... there are no battles that happen while in planet to planet transit .... spaceunits as we usualy think of would be able to travel and battle in open space and not be limited to orbital or gravitational influenced flightpathes

Starcraft 2 = research options + upgrades + lots of rather unneccesary active/passive special abilities + delibarately limited ui and production functions = complexity = no one of us gives a real sh*t about ... at least i personaly dont

You can have complexity without all that stuff.

Too hard to implement from a coding view? Because it would honestly not be any more difficult than just creating a sphere slightly larger than the sun and giving it a different texture. Gameplay wise, there is no need for such things anyways.
