I'm not sure if my searching and/or reading of what is coming in further patches has been inadequate but nevertheless I'll just drop this little one here. Okay, so dragging a box will currently select all construction or combat units in the vicinity and a double click will select all of the visibile units of that exact type. However, both of these are hard to use when you're trying to select ALL your air units patrolling your base, for example, when you need them or if you want all your units selected of the same type with some on the other side of the plane, unable to be selected by the double-click function. Long story short, can you please add a Ctrl+W type hotkey like in TA (revolutionary at the time apparently), which selects all your units without having to experience the frustration of failing numerous attempts to double-click a moving unit? This is a matter of Com. life or death. Cheers!
Keys seem way too hard for players to find. This is expected of a beta. It just sort of hurts. It is one of those luxuries that still gets asked about. Not just the OP question. Just keys in general. Heck, I forget what keys sometimes reloads the UI or shows pathing or shows game performance or even selects all aircraft (didn't know that).
The game I think could really benefit from an in depth tutorial system introducing things like common keyboard commands but I cant see this happening until at least launch time. I think an overlay of the games hotkeys on a gui element you could click might be nice without having to press esc and visit the options. a small (?) in the corner of the screen or something
Not a problem, its not like I knew what the shortcut was either without checking that screen above ^_^
