When this game is ready for normal retail what kind of single player support will it have? Will I be able to play games with and vs just AI teams, or is it more for playing vs other real players?
Offline single player will be only available after release, but you can play against AI already. AI isn't competitive at moment, but it's improved over time.
Since the official release has now been pushed back to "eventually", it seems only fair that you should be able to play single player against the AI while offline. Sometimes playing online just isn't an option, like on an airline. Just grumbly because I was having a very nice AI game in the airport terminal, and all of a sudden the WiFi connection gets dropped and it kills the whole game. Super lame. :\ And there doesn't even seem to be an unofficial work around either.
I don't see how the situation is really any different now from before, the same reasons for not releasing the server side of things are just as valid(if not more so) as before. Mike
I am like you buddy i just want to play single player for a long while! with out having to be connected to a server but I am a patient man! I hope they make it easy Click Load Play
They are doing their current approach to prevent multiple issues because of it being still in development. It's a privilege to be able to play it before release at all.
