Meh, to attack IE still feels like attacking anything else. Like a lot of going out of the way and borderline prejudice.

I am somewhat expecting someone to get thrown out of a restaurant because they like Xbox One, and that going to the supreme court...

I will just say this: at alot of jobs and other places I have seen this quite a bit on both sides.

Old versions of IE are still used mostly for comptability with some old webapp. I used to work for a Goverment defense contractor, the regulations they have to deal with are ridiculous. Any new application or update had to be scruitnized and examined to death and would take months before they are put into production.

My personal taste, I go with firefox as my daily driver, chrome for certian things, and IE as a backup.

Well, not everyone is computer literate. IE is what comes on the actual machine, and is the only thing capable of opening webpages to read as far as the average person knows.

So things like using a tax as a form of attack on IE, really those are the victims. When I DID live with my mom, she would downright not recognize anything that wasn't IE, firefox was just a virus or something and she didn't like it. She also always got weak laptops and played facebook games. I got out of there pretty fast...

It used to be that a bunch of webpages could only be run in IE. This is just sorta a role reversal (on a single site, I might add)
