    And... I just realized that one additional benefit of the notifications will be unification of unit and structure naming across all players.

    Zaphod's going to be hard-pressed to continue to call the Holkins a "pelter" in the face of a notification stating that "Holkins was destroyed".


    I'm suddenly curious if now the Advanced moniker might just overtake the legacy T1/T2 naming that very few folks seem to care much about giving up. Think I have to give brianpurkiss some props there; he's been doing nicely using the proper names in his casts.

    I'm also now wondering if notifications are available for ANNIHILATED players? If not, will they be? There would likely need to be some filters available (could track with the current view filters per team), etc. But I think this would be very helpful for the casters (and their viewers, like me).

    I like the new icon for the orbital and deepspace radar :D

    I fully support naming the AI after what you scream at it XD

    Edit: Is the bug where those rectangular shapes that kinda look like they are from a metal planet that keep spawning on the moon fixed yet?

    I certainly also had the impression they were, but they've kinda grown on me, and I must admit to starting to hope they were included somehow into the lore. As though maybe long long ago some of the metal planets were completely covered in rock to avert long range detection, and part of it raised up somehow (thus the source of the metal spots on that biome). Or maybe it's that a metal planet was smashed near that moon long ago. Etc.

    Even if it is a confirmed bug... add it back in at a less-than-1% spawn rate? Easter egg for us.

    I thought it was intentional.. made the universe seem more alive, different planet types having hints about the others.

    There are no formations yet. However, there have been some fixes that improves not only parking position but also units jockeying less for position when moving, so they tend to form better blobs of units than before.
