Just captured a few screens, theres a texture bug that's shown up, where the bottom of one of the ravines doesnt show up. As a result, you can see right through the planet. If anyone wants to see if they can replicate this bug, the last screenshot has the planet's details.
Can you please as well upload your DxDiag.txt? To be sure what is your hardware. Also can you please say what exactly graphics settings you use? PS: Personally can't reproduce this on Linux.
Virtual texture, headlights, shadows all medium HDR on, AA off, resolution scaling 110% fullscreen mode
That's did it seen mostly same glitch! I'm posted in on bugtracker: PA#2798 Obviously it's looks a bit different, but it's confirm that bug platform-independent. PS: Reproduced on my laptop with Win7 and Intel HD3000. Also on Intel HD on Windows it's actually looks like on your screenshot.
I found one of these and all I got was a lousy link to the tracker. The gaps look even better when you get up close to them and you can see the details on the other side of the planet. (I'm curious what settings SXX is using that this glitch can't be seen.)
Most of people who posted such screenshots don't have any reproduction info. E.g I actually seen such bugs in-game, but usually don't have planet generation info to reproduce them. If you can proper reproduction info I'll be happy to test it. Also while ago I wasn't sure if devs actually need small bug reports, but currently they actively fix lot of small bugs so I'm started to spend lot time on bugtracker and push those bugs to them. All high and enabled with default resolution scaling, but most of time I'm play with very Linux-specific open source driver stack, so I can't be sure if some visual glitches is glitches of game or drivers.
