This infamous bug. I am not big on coming to forums for troubleshooting, but I need to get into a game. Anyone know the current fix for this while I go reverify files?
are you using wifi ? I have this issue when i have bad ping, That and game takes real long time to start.
Also are you using mods ?? If so can you put up list.. Some mods maybe causing issues.. I will test each one too see if they do so we can notify the relevant modders.
The way this problem is caused is by using an outdated commander HP mod with an outdated mod manager. Update the mod manager then the mod.

They renamed a function in this build that the commanderHP mod used, causing it to error and stop processing the UI Fixed now though as zweistein000 indicated .
I'm having this issue as well. The game will take a while to load then I'll either have no start zone and no commander or the planet will appear with no start zone or any mass locations. I'm not using any mods or anything.
