I encountered some issues with the new build, mostly performance wise. I just played a game where we had 4 teams with two players each. There were many planets and some were very far apart from the rest. At the end we had like some thousands of units on the home planet, and who knows what more on other planets. All that and a planet smash was being set in motion.

Until the midgame everything was fine. But as soon as players left the home planet and started to build on other planets, and even earlier, the performance was breaking down rapidly. Sometimes it became so bad that the game came to a complete stop for half a minute or so before it continued to work again. The second time this happened, it did not only crash the game, but it also shot down my internet connection.

I've noticed several times that the PA client is somehow messing with my internet connection, and I found it weird. But this time was extreme. I think the issue is something server related, because all players in the game were experiencing it.

    Greetings

To be fair, this subforum is called "Beta Issues & Bugs". Actually, I'm quite confused as to where I should be reporting bugs. The tracker seems more organized, but in all of the patch release notes so far there is a mention of "post bugs in the forum".

One of the Beta Issues & Bugs forum's primary purpose is to help people fix issues with their game/computer. If something is wrong with the game, then it needs to be reported on the tracker so it can be verified and, well, tracked. Uber can't track game bugs here on the forum – bugs reported here will get pushed back pages and lost within a day or two. But the community members can help people fix their game so it's playable.

Report game side bugs on the tracker.

If something won't play on your computer but does play on other people's computers, post on the forum for help fixing it.

True. I prefer the tracker as well. It seems I was a bit hasty with my statement that they mention the forums in every patch release notes. The last I found was for 56310 which was quite a while back. It said: Please report to the forums if you find strange new behavior you've never seen before. Be as detailed as you can to help us better track down new issues. That was in regard to new network code.

Anyway, I do agree the tracker is the best place for bug tracking; precisely for the reasons you just stated. But I can easily see people reporting bugs in a subforum called "Issues and Bugs". So a single URL answer might come across as a bit harsh. :)

The tracker has been extremely quiet lately. They aren't even being confirmed or reported as duplicate by the mods.

I agree with you, it doesn't seem like anyone is reading the bug tracker.

it could be because the beta disclaimer still says its a future feature, to be implemented later.

That relates to in-game and in-launcher bug reporting though. Supposedly you can open the bug tracker with some magic key combination (According to the settings it's Ctrl + F10, but KDE hijacks that).

Actually, on reading the beta disclaimer some more, it simply says to report bugs on the forum.
Oh well, in any case, the bug tracker is fully functional although not very well advertised as *the* bug reporting tool.

Ctrl + f10 opens it for me :) It's a feature, but they didn't update the disclaimer.

Your problem with HDR caused by outdated drivers:
    Code:
Card name: ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series
    Driver Date/Size: 6/26/2012 17:26:22, 1101312 bytes
You need to download and install latest drivers from AMD website:
    http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows 7 - 64

Unfortunately everyone have limited time and it's pretty hard to manage/check tons issues alone.
I'm spending some time on bugtracker when I have it.
