When I launch PA using PA Launcher, the screen turns black and I get a Windows "program crash" type dialog box stating that "Coherent UI - A Modern User Interface Library for Games has stopped working." (Please see screenshot of window and text showing complete info attached.)

If I quickly click "Close the program" then the box re-appears. I can quickly click until everything stops and I have to Alt-Tab out and kill PA.

If I wait a minute or so before clicking "Close the program" though, PA proceeds on to the Beta acknowledgement. From there, the game appears to run fine.

I didn't experience this until this build (57703). My system is fully up to date. (DXDiag attached.) Any ideas?

    Thanks,

If your just using 1 video card and have 2 display's connected,
Could you also try disconnect/disable the second display and let me know if that fixes the issue?

I have only 1 video card installed, but my CPU has an iGPU that is available through LucidLogix VirtuMVP. Also, I have 2 monitors connected although the second is usually off.

I'll try playing with different combinations of the two and see if I can figure out which one is causing the problem and report back here.

    Thanx!

Can you disable Virtu MVP ??
It maybe the cause of the issue for PA, it may not work with it yet..

You were right! PA doesn't support VirtuMVP yet. Disabling GPU virtualization in VirtuMVP resolves the issue.

Do I need to submit this as a bug report somewhere?

    Thanx,

Virtu MVP is nothing more than a few hacks that increase system performance.
    You have a gtx 680.. think of that as a f1 race-car..
Now think of your iGPU as a pushbike.
Virtu MVP is boosting your f1 race-car with the power of a pushbike.

Supporting Virtu MVP might be a bit awkward for the developers as its not a mainstream feature embedded in hardware its a software hack....

If you personally think Virtu MVP is worth supporting,
Then yeah submit a ticket explaining that you have to disable Virtu MVP's GPU virtualization to get PA working.
The developers will most likely make a decision about supporting it based on how many votes your ticket gets or how many people suffer the same issue...
As far as i know your the first person i have seen here with Virtu MVP tho...

Thanx for all of your help.

I'm not really using VirtuMVP to boost my gfx card. It shipped with my ASUS mobo and I keep it installed because some transcoding programs perform much faster using the iGPU than the nV or ATI hardware. I do a lot of video editing, so it's kinda nice.

That being said, it's the type of thing I would have thrown away if I didn't have a specific purpose for it. In fact, I would have ensured the iGPU was completely off in BIOS if I didn't have this use for it... Although the VirtuMVP ships with a lot of mobos, I can see where most people may not have any use for it.

I'll submit just so the devs are aware. As you say, they can decide what to do and I'm happy either way.

    I really appreciate your help!!
