Sorian I think having an AI on your team would be FABULOUS.

General expansion, energy and capping mexes performed by the AI could leave the player more time to concentrate on the attacks and high reward decisions.

Can't you mod this out of the UI, the same way that the player limit was removed?

Besides, just add room for another player, set the password to 'aaaaa' and start it anyway. Works just the same. Who's going to guess that password?

If you multiply the AI's economy by an integer, that should give you the same effect as if you were playing two or more at a time. So, x2 econ would be two enemies, x3 would be 3....etc. etc.

Personally I'm really hoping it gets implemented :)

I'm kind of hoping that you can program unit behaviours as well. That would be cool. Design a scouting algorithm.

Looks like my game is just bugged then - that solution hasn't been working for me.

I may have spoken too soon, as I haven't been able to get the server to start such a game. It used to work in alpha and early beta, before the Solo vs. AI lobby was implemented. I don't know what changed.

That doesn't work for a number of reasons:

    1. It doesn't double the number of commanders.
    2. It wouldn't double the health of things like MEXs making each kill twice as effective.
    3. It doesn't deny you twice as much space.
    4. It doesn't cover twice as much area protecting it against nukes and such.

    etc.

This might sound like a silly question... will the alliance mode allow us to have 1 player allied with a.i vs 2 separate a.i armies or what ever number you prefer?

Also, will free for all ever work with just 1 player? when i go to set up a FFA game vs a.i it says i need at least two players. Why can't i play this mode my self against multiple FFA a.i's ? is this just because it's incomplete or is that how the devs intend this mode to be played?

    Thanks.

Yes, sure. With the modifications I made to allow any number of players I can do this without further changes:

But do the AI actually colludewith eachother, or are there just 23 individual bases for you to take out that only attack you??

I did not really play it out. The AI spawned a ton of Commanders, all in one spot. They dodged into each other a lot.
    I quit after that.
I doubt the AI has any kind of teamplay-behavior implemented
