A game feature that doesn't function as intended is, by definition, a bug.

And not being implemented isn't correct. I've watched a commander die to reclaiming.

    Eh?

By default fabbers repair first, assist second. For friendly units and structures. AT no point do they reclaim - at least I have never had a situation where me right clicking (without giving a move/reclaim/repair/assist order, solely relying on the contextual order) on a friendly unit resulted in my fabbers reclaiming that unit. I have to explicitly order them to do so.

They do that for every unit, friendly or enemy. For a wreckage of course they reclaim, but they can't repair or reclaim. I've had fabbers assist enemy fabbers.

It's not a bug. Because by that argument the lack of Galactic War, the UI and the incomplete unit roster are all "bugs". It doesn't produce an intuitive result for the user, but it wouldn't be unexpected for the programmer.

    Well, thanks.
It was a desperate one but I was thinking it would be brilliant. LOL

It's a bug. context commands should not be overriding explicit ones. I am quite certain the game design does not include the default option of repairing enemy units.

It's not a bug. The explicit command overrides the contextual one. If you double clicked, you reallocated the reclaim command to be a repair/assist command.

You are quite certainly wrong. The default contextual command is to repair enemy units. If you like, I can make a video of that in less than 5 seconds.

It is possible I mis-clicked, in which case why should the context command be "repair" instead of "reclaim" when dealing with enemy units?

Not entirely his mistake. A lot of players in these forums have been asking for reclaim to be the default action when clicking engineers onto an enemy.

Hopefully that gets added into the game, the reclaim being default for fabbers clicking onto an enemy.

Also, intentionally trying to reclaim an enemy is a above-intelligent move. Most base-level rts players think build/repair guy doesn't attack. In this instance it was a small enough force and you had nothing left to attack with, so it was reclaim them and probably succeed against just 2 tanks, or lose the structures and the engineers without even struggling.

You must have a different definition of bug.

I am absolutely certain that Uber does not intend for friendly fabricators to repair enemy units. Since the game is not functioning as intended, that is by definition – a bug.

Because it's unintuitive that way :(
They haven't programmed it in. It's not been in the game for at least 2 months now. We've only just got to the point where wreckage is automatically reclaimed upon when you build on top of it. Was it a bug that that didn't happen?

If you're gonna go down make sure you go down in style and I'd say they definitely did that, fair play to try something new, in the old days of sword fighting people hated going up against a novice because you can't predict what they'd do.
