My first game: placed my commander in a green zone (from somewhat high above the planet). Zoomed in, and the commander was jittering around inside a crevice, unable to get out.
That happened to me too. Just built a factory and went right on playing. Slightly annoying but not insurmountable.
Well if you manage to get your commander stuck in the infinite time you have to choose your starting location I think it's your own fault and deserve to lose.
That's kind of mean. He tried to rationalize it. But yeah, that's a bug, that's a thing, try to avoid it. Lesson learned, probably won't happen again, stats aren't in yet so it isn't your loss in any way, try not to hold a grudge...
