    So, here's what I'm getting:

    upload_2013-11-29_16-0-29.png

I've updated drivers, re-checked directX, reinstalled the program, done everything I can find on the forums for this, but it's still giving me the error.

When I click "verify files", it goes to about 71% and then just stops. Not sure what the devil is going on here. I have this (effectively):

    General Spec
    • Brand: CyberpowerPC
    • Model: Gamer Xtreme 1077
    • Processor: Intel Core i5 760(2.80GHz)
    • Processor Main Features: 64 bit Quad-Core Processor
    • Memory:4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333
    • Hard Drive: 1TB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 7200RPM HDD
    • Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5450 1GB PCI-Express Graphics Card
    • Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Safe, Correct Way: That is more specifically related to having an issue with DirectX from what I understand. You might want to triple check it, as in uninstall that direct x and download a fresh copy. Let me get the link I know that works for this game.

Dangerous way to fix it: Download d3d9x from online somewhere, be careful it is a secure download, and put it into your system32

    EDIT: Ninja'd my link SXX.

And honestly, I do it all the time. I recommend it if I do it. I just also warn people that it is 90% dangerous to do. I only do it because I know better well enough not to get a bad file.

Honestly, the ONLY way I knew to fix RPGMakerVX was to download a missing dll. Risky, but just about the only way.

For clarification of that being a dangerous last resort, I flipped the order of the suggestions in my main post. I am sorry if I lost your respect as a troubleshooter, but I don't value respect others have torwards me very highly anyway, thus the suggestions I make all the well knowing other's opinion of suggestion.

    I'm don't want to offend ;)
Just need to make post fast to stop flintgem from doing something bad.

Still if you don't know proper solution better do not post some "dangerous" stuff because most of people aren't too well with computers and they can easily download 64-bit file in system32 and then it's will be quite harder to find out why problem occur. :(

PS: So I'm sorry if I'm posted something too rough.

No no, I wasn't calling you out for being mean, I was being blunt, I literally have no value of respect.

I just wanted to make that clear. Usually I reference you to fix crap anyway.

OP, could you let us know if it WAS you DirectX or not? Or if uninstalling and installing from that link helped you?
