It's not a big deal so I won't argue, but this point confuses me. I can play on steam and ubernet just fine? They don't conflict with one another in my experience.

I agree with you completely, but it's there, it's live, and I'd rather have active forum community members leaving reviews, than the not necessarily brilliant ones who frequent the steam forums asking the same 3 dumb questions over and over again.

Not better, different. Really, some reasons are Linux and steam supporting each other but not fully, and uberlauncher taking slightly less system resources (though my computer is bottom of barrel running this game and ran smoothly on steam in a multiplayer).

Otherwise, it depends if you even have a steam account or not. Some people boycott Steam because EULA waiving class action lawsuits (not my reason, I have steam)

False. Once your accounts are linked (UberNet and Steam) you can flip-flop between the two launchers w/out any need from customer service.

I just did this. Basically, one key activates your "Forum account" to work on the launcher. Converting it gives you a download for the steam game. Your account is still enabled for play this way, once you do it once on Steam. So, after logging in on steam to enable your account, or logging in on Ubernet with your account and key, THEN you can use either.

I am using both, by buying on Standalone, using on standalone, and converted to Steam, and now using Standalone while having steam library with it as well.

One could do it in reverse as well. Steam first, then standalone, and use either one after that.

Alright, so, if I convert my key to the Steam version, I can still play both versions - even though the site claims I cannot? I'd like to play it on Steam, but considering my PC can barely (or just not at all) handle the game, I think it's safer to play with the normal launcher for now.

No, it means the game is in development.

Sorry I freaked out - I actually read your review, and your phrasing in the review was good.

Essentially "This game is broken" has a different connotation to the other ways of phrasing the same idea. "This game is broken" sounds really negative. "This game is still in development" indicates that the game isn't feature complete, so the things that are broken are not done yet.

I guess I'm thinking about Stardrive - where features that are broken are simply being removed, not being fixed or implemented.

Don't even get me started on Stardrive, such missed potential he could have so easily delivered on...
