Sega Dream Cast 2?

Hey all!

I might be late to the party on this one but...



Rumor is that Sega is going to release the DreamCast around the start of 2014.

I really liked the dreamcast. Anyone feel the same?

On an unrelated note - These consoles atleast for me have stood the test of time in terms of durability

I adored the Dreamcast. But I really don't see where another console is going to be successful in the market.

Things that would help set them apart:
- Go full digital with lots of built in storage
- Make smart use of touch and infrared motion from the get go
- Have a better ecosystem / marketplace / online presence than anyone currently
- Have an easy to develop for / indy friendly development ecosystem

That would be a good start to REALLY pique my interest.

I would also have to say a lower price point would also be nice (A Must?) to compete with the other consoles out there. PS4, One, and WiiU.

The Indy dev friendly market place would be a must with how big the Indie game scene is.

Every console is a developer console sort of thing would be awesome and cut down on costs. Expensive Dev kits? I say no!

Um... isn't that the Steam Box already?

Yes.. though currently, the Steambox is as much a reality as the Dreamcast 2. ;-) I'll believe both when I see them (myself - I know some of the guys have already at least seen the controller for the Steambox)

I was under the impression you at Uber actually got to test the prototypes of the controller. Was it your sick day that day?

A couple guys went over.. o, neutrino, scathis and eka I think. I was not among them.

If Valve - Left 4 Dead 3. You can dig something up about this if you Google that.

If Uber - Planetary Annihilation and Toy Rush. I like PA more though

I still play my dreamcast, it's setup here in the lounge with the xbox's n playstaion's

I have my dreamcast some where in storage. I really need to get it out.

What are your fave games??
I like the sonic adventure series, i thrash Sega GT and Daytona with my friends lots here and there,, i love PSO i play that the most usually..
