Ok that is fine, you don't need to get all mellow dramatic about it.

    Mellow dramatic?

I'm being very relaxed, yet agitated and over the top?

 I don't know if I should block you, or send you a Christmas card.

    Grrrr.

Do both! He'll never be able to return a christmas card to you, and you'll win the christmas card battle! Muahaha!

Make sure it's a picture of a decorated, rapid firing, inaccurate big bertha for maximum evilness!

Irrelevant of Nanolathe's statements of what 'reality' deems truth,

    Do. Want. Vulcan.

Some sort of huge, metal-chomping, rapid fire canon/turret would be good :) wouldn't necessarily have to be arty. Just watching a big row of miniguns open up on a tank rush is great fun!

especially turning them to hold fire as you watch enemy army move inside field of fire, then once they are too far to turn around and escape, giving the fire at will command (i always used to love shouting this out like i was on the bridge of some battleship or something!)
    good times. :D

This already exists in a more reliable, modular, and palletable form. BUILD MORE ARTILLERY.

    I read that as mallow-dramatic.

Edit: Empty post is empty. The Vulcan and Buzzsaw did fill a slightly different role than the Bertha and Intimidator, they had a lesser range, but I think they also had a faster fire rate (compared to an equivalent amount of Berthas/Intimidators) and possibly faster rotate speed.

    When we get asteroids, sure.

But then that's a very niche unit that probably won't be in the base game. Mods maybe.

One work-around is a self-propelled rocket instead of just an artillery round. Those can be designed to travel through an arc significantly faster than gravity could carry a shell.

Why not just make the Vulcan shoot like normal artillery except 500 times faster?

    Because that's dumb?

The Vulcan only fired 28 times faster than the Bertha... on top of that you never saw the Vulcan fire at full speed for any length of time in a competitive game because you would need to have 8 dedicated Fusion Reactors to support the -2000 energy draw every 0.25 seconds.

Plus it was useless after 40 kills because it got so good at leading targets, it started hitting a few meters in front of where they were and started leading for buildings. :D

The Holkins is there but on a scale 2 planet or smaller, it won't fire.
