can I play this game?

Hi all.
PA really seams like an interresting game. but I am not sure if my laptop can handle it.
I checked my specs by googling can you run it and everything seems to be okay, except the cpu speed which is not defined.
my specs are:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz
RAM: 8.00 GB
64-bit windows 7
video card: GeForce GT 555M

I think you could. But there are smather people on the forum then me. I bet they will respond quite soon.

Currently the Beta is still in progress. There hasn't been much optimization. You could always wait till the release in December. Then the optimization is done and the game will be 40 dollar (not euro).

I play the game on an Acer Iconia Tab W700 and performane is fine.
i5 3317u 1.7ghz cpu Dual core (2.6ghz turbo mode).
Intel HD 4000 ivybridge iGPU.
4gb Ram.

Equivalent to my tower, if I get 2 ram sticks sometime.

Oh but before you try playing.
Your nVidia drivers are from 2011, it won't run unless you install much newer drivers.

that is the nVidia r331.82 gaming driver, your computer will run PA then with no crash at startup.
if you download and install game now without updating the driver it will most probably crash on game start

That should improve FPS in many of your games. if you don't have PA try another title you own and let me know how much better the newer nVidia drivers are

PA will be the 1st ever PC original game I ever buy

If your not a hardcore gamer who notices every little fps hitch or jump then it probably wont make much difference to you visually ,
Games may handle/run better or feel smoother to play.

But all in all , when you get PA it wont crash on you first run due to you driver being so out of date.
it's the main reason i got you to upgrade it, that and its always good to be upto date with these things, most updates are improvments for many games and better compatibility and features for games.

what do you mean by "fps" ?

how fast the picture is drawn to the screen.
Frames per second. Like a movie, a movie plays at 30 frames per second on most tv's and dvd's.
A video game should run as close to 30 frames per second or higher or you may see jerky changes in the picture being drawn to the screen.
If this frame rate drops below 18 frames per second our eyes can see the big difference between redraws of the screen, by this i mean you see a static picture then another static picture like slowly flicking through photos instead of it being smooth like a movie.

I hope that sort of helps give you an understanding of frame rates or FPS.

FPS can also mean First Person Shooter (games like call of duty, or anything where you run around with a gun and looking through your characters eyes, the First Person Perspective)
