    Everything looks fine.
You need to known that Asus and Gigabyte do not support Linux customers. It's don't mean that motherboard will cause problems, but mean that if they break something on their side they won't fix it.

But I see multiple positive feedbacks so this model should work fine.

Is there a brand that does?

Not sure if it's just an oversight but you should definitely take the 4770K-processor instead because it's unlocked which means you can overclock it. It's also practically the same price as the locked version. Or if you're certain that you'll never overclock, you should probably switch the mobo because you won't be needing the Z87-exclusive features.

Intel for sure, but they don't have big choice of desktop boards. Still you can buy Asus motherboard just fine because there is enough positive feedback on it. E.g I use Asus MB and it's works just fine.

I just warn you that you should know terms of Asus support. ;)

Unfortunately Intel remove hardware virtualization from unlocked CPUs while it's really interesting feature for Linux user.

That case is too small and will generate a lot of heat because of that. Plus you'll end up with a birds nest with the parts your suggesting. The psu I would say is only just capable of supporting this rig with very little head room. There is not much point in having a 400 quid card and Hamstringing it with a 60 pound drive. For the money your spending I'd be tempted by the Haf-x, which has great airflow, noise reduction, cable management plus you can customizes it with a water system.

Look what you do is create the headroom by having a very cold enclosure. The bigger the enclosure the colder the whole rig will run. Silverstone, Noctua, Coolermaster, Scythe are a few good fan makes. If you run a psu within 25% of its maximum load it will get hotter than optimum that's another consideration. My advice is don't cut corners on your case and psu because they hold their value better than all the other parts.

As much as i appreciate input, you need to read the whole thread and stop giving random comments to old and outdated posts. Everything is decided and ordered, just waiting for the last part to arrive before i build. There will be plenty of room in the case, the build won't be hamstrung by anything, i've got a coolermaster and linux is not a game nor one game.

At least consider that heat could be an issue especially for overclocking.
