I know this is a semi-common issue, but I can't seem to find a case like mine. All my drivers are updated, I don't have an integrated graphics card, and I can't think of any other good reason it'd just be crashing. DxDiag included, hopefully you guys see something I don't. Please, guys, I want to play with yoooou
I don't think you'll able to run PA on this video card: Code: Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT Most likely it's don't have OpenGL 3 support. Can you please do that: Download glewinfo.exe from HERE. Run it. In same folder should appear file called "glewinfo.txt", or just text "glewinfo" file. Upload it here. I'll check for sure if your card support required features or not.
That "HERE" link doesn't work. Also: nvidia.custhelp[dot]com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2443 I think you're right, 7600 isn't there... I have an 8800, but I've had to bake it twice already, and it gave out again each time. Dangit, I figured with such generally low specs, a 7600 would more than cut it. So I guess there's just no option except get my 8800 to work?
I'm corrected that link, direct one: https://freetype-gl.googlecode.com/svn-history/r199/trunk/windows/glew/bin/glewinfo.exe I'm bad person to ask about GPU baking.
For what it's worth, I ran it and here it is. Baking has worked everytime, it just conked out again. I think I'm just going to back it for a really long time. If it kills it for good, whatever. It was dead anyway. Really sad my replacement can't play this game, though...
Yep this is sad, but it's lack of OpenGL 3 support. Code: --------------------------- GLEW Extension Info --------------------------- GLEW version 1.9.0 Reporting capabilities of pixelformat 1 Running on a GeForce 7600 GT/PCIe/SSE2 from NVIDIA Corporation OpenGL version 2.1.2 is supported ... GL_VERSION_3_0: MISSING Though it's was worth to check.
