I am only saying this because I have a suggestion up ahead. I think even in beta test, it would help to have a lobby chat where you can meet people and such. It wouldn't be very active, but unless your BOTH in a 3rd party chat software, anyone after a game is lost to the cosmos. I was wondering, the easiest way to do this I was thinking, is to borrow one of the chats from the SMNC lobby. Have it act as a bottom bar just like SMNC, there isn't anything down there in PA atm. They are both Uber programmed lobbies and Uber online servers, I was just wondering if it was in fact easier to do than previously thought or harder to do than I am now thinking it would be? FYI, this is more of a hacked in suggestion, later it could either be shined up, slimmed down, or redone entirely. Honestly, SMNC is f2p, everyone could already download it and use the chat, but that is just as silly as downloading TeamSpeak or Mumble. It is expecting newcomers to inherently know to download something elsewhere and run it when they run PA, while this suggestion is giving them one in the game, predownloaded and autoran with PA.
If my understanding of their system is right this probably wouldn't take a dev more than a few hours to do really. It might look like **** but all the UI stuff is a web page, shiny it up later.
It wouldn't look that bad if they literally copy-pasted whatever they have in their SMNC mainpage into their PA mainpage. Theoretically, It should be capatable, unless SMNC doesn't use assets and coherent the way PA does.
I'm pretty sure that SMNC doesn't use coherent so that wouldn't be really reasonable and due to it being windows only.
