Whenever I click 'Join Army' or Ready, my friend (who is in the game with me) can immediately see that I have joined the army and that I have clicked ready. But I can't... Somehow, my game is sending my information to the server just fine but I am not receiving it back. Something is blocking my game... I am using AVG free edition, but I disabled all protection while I play. I have disabled my firewall and I have forwarded the ports 9000-9032 (please see attached photo, and let me know if I did it incorrectly). I really hope this can be fixed because it must be something on my side blocking it. EDIT: I can play single player against AI, sometimes. I may have to remake the game 2 or 3 times before it registers that I joined and lets me play.
You don't have to forward any ports for PA, remove this rule. PA is client-server game and client don't need to listed any port to work properly. When devs say something about ports they mean that game should able to connect those ports, only that.
Advice: annihilate AVG completely, reboot and then try again. If your problem won't be fixed it's mean you should looks for something else. At least it's will let you know if problem related to firewall software or not.
YEA! Fixed it by uninstalling AVG I will have to get another antivirus but at least I can play! Thanks guys
