Just a reminder: Currently, everyone has access to all commanders. You will not have permanent access to all of them once we have systems in place for that. Never fear, we will have quite a few commanders to select from, regardless! There is a known issue while accessing settings during a live game. Depending on the solar system and your computer, and connection, this can result in a very long delay to rebuild the system before you can play again. We recommend not changing settings during a live game for now. We will be fixing this, but it is an easily avoidable problem, so in the interim, avoid doing this! Beta Build: 57047 ATI 3X00 and 4X00 should be working again! Sorry about that, new impostor code uncovered a driver bug! Economic factors should be working again. Keep a sharp eye on your energy. It does matter! This also impacts how recon units use energy. Target leading should be fixed. Units will now automatically reclaim and build if you try and build over wreckage AIs have names now! Apparent "lock up" on the intro video playing should be fixed AI is starting to have actual threat response, instead of just economic threat.
Oi, think something broke. Says "New Build Available: 54047" each time I log in. The build is 57047 not 54047. I think it's checking for the wrong number. Suspiciously, there are 0 players in 0 games.

Yep, something's wrong. It says "Update incomplete. Please verify files" when I run the launcher, and says this each time I click verify files. Deleting the game files and attempting to re-install didn't help.
It's that one that you exit out of right after hitting "accept" for the disclaimer. It has these people talking and stuff... Anyways thank goodness for auto reclaim and build!
Can you please explain the economic factors and how recon units use energy? I don't think they're documented anywhere well. Or I'm just blind. Damn it. RIP AI 1-9. I'll miss you. To the AI changes - Excellent!
Chat in the lobby doesn't work after this update, also you can not review a game after it is over. Tried to chat in the lobby on several hosts and nothing shows. After a game is done you can click on review but no units are shown for either side.
The reclaim and build is a long time in the making. I suppose it's also the best for balance. I liked the idea for "assimilating wreckage" as a lump sum of metal into the build overtop of it, so building over a dead mex starts your new mex at 1/4th build... ...but that does remove the effects of small eco raids. Best to not to, I reckon...
The cost of a raid is not simply the sunk cost of the MEX lost, but rather the income lost between it being destroyed and rebuilding it.
I'm guessing that auto reclaim, which works no matter what you build, is easier to implement than getting a construction 50% boost over wreckage, which only works when the wreckage and the new building are identical and placed in the same location. The 50% construction boost was confirmed, it just hasn't been implemented yet.
