    GPU: GeForce 8400
    CPU: AMD FX-8320 Eight-Core Processor 3.52 GHz
    Memory: 16 GB

I play PA with graphics on low and texture res -50, and my screen res on the lowest it could go. It looks worse than Diablo 2 graphics, but it runs around 20 fps so I'm happy.

I'm looking to buy a new video card for Black Friday.
What Nvidia card would I have to buy to play on Uber Graphics one monitor 1920 X 1080 and one at 1280 X 1024?

(PS: I'm not against AMD, it's just my computer breaks when I put a AMD Video card in it. I have an AMD Proccessor so yea.:) )

    though question.
it really depends on your budget.

    PA runs on everything.

Ranging from intel HD 2000 to Titan

and yes PA is one of the rare games (if not the only game) that will fully utilise the Titan's beast potential.

so if you want to run the game with all effects at least on but not on maximum, you can cleave straight down the middle with a GTS 450

personally I run it on a GTX 560ti (it really doesn't like PA :p ) and I'm (now :D ) able to turn all effects on and play competitively. I keep them on low though and I relaunch the game and sometimes reboot to keep the page file and the ram clear.

really what's recommended for PA is buckets of vram. going under 1Gig is folly.

2gigs and you're safe 3gigs runs the game quite nicely.

a general preference for nvidia, I'd say. The tweaks you can make there are more interesting.

How ati currently runs is irrelevant as it will be fixed on launch though if you're running on linux or windows IS as the drivers will always be better on linux, nvidia side.

Double what tatsujb said. Choose more GDDR5 over less GDDR5 and one video card over multiple.
One powerful video card with lot of VRAM it's what you need for PA. :)

I run a GTS 450 only because of my power supply being so low. I also would make sure you have Window 7 64 bit and nice amount of ram. Windows 32 bit operating systems the game runs bad. I have currently 7 gb of ram.

Yea I know . I ordered 8 GB but the last module is broken. So I have to wait till I get the last module in the mail to make it 8 GB. :)

    Same thread different sub forum?
    https://forums.uberent.com/threads/what-video-card-should-i-buy-for-this-game.53736/

    Some wisdom from garat:

    - my emphasis

    - 2GB or greater of vram
    - non-reference design

when thinking about upgrading graphics cards, you always want to go with the most powerful card you can currently afford, to me, the 4GB versions of any cards are the way you'll want to go in order to future proof yourself and help things run better, games even now are starting need more then 2GB VRAM for the standard 1920 resolution and that requirement is only going to increase inside the next couple years. GTX 770 4GB is awesome if you can afford it, if not, the GTX 760 GB is just as good for everything you can currently play today.

You shouldn't buy a graphics card. Spend your money on a house and a car. Life is for the cats

On topic: What are the recommended brands for Nvidia cards? EVGA Vs Asus vs whatelse? Which ones do you pay for quality, and which ones do you pay for the brand?

I've decided to go with EVGA because my old video cards CrossfireX which were Gigabyte broke my PC.
Witch one should I go with?
