How is planets and interplanetary a gimmicks?

    Had you just said that from the start I would have agreed with you, in the context of how the game is at the moment.

    But we don't know what is yet to come down the pipe in terms of the terrain itself or in terms of units/weapons.

    I would have accepted to imagine that it can be better if there was ANY change in that direction in the past, showing that dev actually considers it a problem.

    Since the first alpha, even since the first planet editor test release, there was no improvement over that area.

    Sure we had a few new biomes type, but it's not like any of those are better.

    They even do a whole cast on the lava one where they showed how they were iterating to have some nice swirls or whatever on lava pattern, while the land area was exactly the same as all other biome : flat & boring.

    So yes, the game is like this at this moment, it has been since the start, so I don't see why I should consider that it will magically be a lot better during the last month of development.

    Maybe I will be wrong, but so far, I'm not.
    And it's probably more sane to actually said it out loud than put your head in the sand and think all is going well and PA spherical maps are awesome. They are not.

    On top of that, some arguments I see on the forum "Hmm.. It looks almost like an upgrade.. Burn the witch! We should really remove it to make something even more tedious"... Make me think I will eventually put PA in my "Do No Open" category on steam.
