Ok well heres the story, those drivers that i downloaded completely destroyed the hardrive i had getting rid of all my games and everything including PA. I have tried to re install the game and when i try to launch it, it doesnt work at all..., last time i just had graphics problems but now i think i need more help.
Not sure what you did with your hard drive... But in future do never download any drivers not from manufacturer websites. Idk, apparently my anti virus was part of the problem... AVG 2014, had to uninstall it, which i guess gave the virus the chance to destroy my hardrive
Hmm for some reason, after i download the driver and try to run the application it gives me an error message. it says c:/user/my computer/downloads/catalyst_mobility_beta_64-bit_util.exe is not a valid win32 application Argh i hate having to go through this all over again, i just got into the game!!
Hmm here is another problem when i try to download the other AMD thing it came up with a problem aswell it said it has stopped working in mid installation
Ok it seem you have an OS issue, Unfortunately you may need to wipe your HDD and reinstall your OS with the stock drivers from HP then just update the VIDEO CARD driver through ATI's site. Hopefully if you do just this it may work. In my opinion it sounds like Windows failed to install correctly or your missing vital drivers, if not you may have acquired a trojan/virus in the short time you have spent on the net
If you used the OUT OF THE BOX button to restore your OS, check online to see if others have had issues with similar things on your model laptop. I have an Acer iconia tab W700 and my embedded restore is corrupted it requires patching to work correctly.
it sucks when it happens, i recently had to reinstall doing testing that caused my system to fail , but it was worth it for me. i like learning how things interact with other things but it usually causes instability, i really just hate the wait an OS re-install puts you through , if only there was an instant re-installing version

download your windows from msdn, if it's not a CD, if it's a cracked one. the cracked bit could explain missing s hit
Try System restore from an earlier point. It's a much lighter restore action that only rollbacks the latest settings/installs since the point you choose to restore to. Might be worth a try.
Its not a cracked version and i don't think that it needs a system restore, i just have to uninstall a bunch of stuff and then re-install it
and how would that fix anything? you're taking a lego block from the top of the lego tower and putting it right back. we're saying it's one at the bottom of the stack you have to change, not to mention, not with the same one.
i have found the problem xD after 2 days, it didn't work when i re-installed it, the beta driver that SSX sent the website for had a problem with one of the links and that is why it wasn't a valid application. should be all good now once this driver installs

C:\Users\"YourUserName"\AppData\Local\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\log\PA-00-00-00.000.txt "Click sort by date so the most recent one is at the top, And post that one here." its Best to delete all log files run game once until it crashes then post and attach the only log in the directory
