    Watching 9 AIs duke it out on a 2 planet system. Starter is metal planet scale 3, other is tropical scale 2.

    The updated AI is an improvement, but the one in live appears to only have one fabber assigned to expansion. I'm assuming this will (massively) change later, because it's clearly not even close to enough. Likewise the AI seems to stop at four factories. Again, I'm assuming the AI is intentionally capped because it should be sending fabbers in pairs (at least), it should have a lot more fabbers than it does now, expand more aggressively, and that in turn means it should have a lot more factories too.

    Hello, I had a game tonight and noticed that both of the A.I.'s I was playing against had made themselves stuck as they built way too many units. :) They didn't get round to building nukes or orbital and it made for quite a placid game.

    Yeah the current builds AI seems to have difficulty applying units to the enemy's face, and is much better at raiding.

    The units should have a priority level. I mean if the commander or some building units wants to go through a blob of units they have to go by side. Also the path finding should be better. Sometimes my units stuck on buildings.

    here something else. Ive builded 3 engines on a moon and want to steer him to an planet but i can only send him to a near planet which is in the same orbit. Then i send him to his self. The engine started and then i destroyed on but the system is still activated.

    Are threat values hand-crafted, or are you using a NN to decide them (or have I entirely missed the purpose of threats values)?

    Handcrafted for now. Once the neural networks go in I am hoping to remove most of the threat values.

    How much freedom will the game have in its ability to analyse the situation?

    Will it do stuff on the fly? Will it copy builds from the players? Will it have present strategys to choose from?

    And will the 'director' AI thing be making a return for AI's on teams?

    Working on AI expansion and bug fixes that were causing the AI to get stuck not building factories. It's going well.

    You know that book about the self replicating nanoswarm which takes over the world until there's nothing more to consume?

    I just want to weigh in here that in current build, I have AI's that build 9 factories and two advanced.

    But then, I have other AI's that stop at 3 factories.

    AI expansion seems to be driven by interaction with other factions, which seems to be driven by proximity.

    This AI is shaping up to be a good challenge which is a big step up from most games I've ever played
