I installed the newest drivers, restarted the PC. went in to play got the same result. The only good part is that it went further than the previous 2 times.
Ok I got in the game, don't know how or why.... Problem I found is that the planet I am suppose to start on had no metal, and I got no green zone to spawn my Commander. The other planet had metal, not much though.
Looks like features (stones and metal spots) are missing. As temporary workaround toggle metal spots icons using Ctrl+N. Yeah I seen it's behavior already, looks like a bug.
Also can you please open this directory: C:\Users\ YOUR_WINDOWS_USERNAME \AppData\Local\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\log\ Note "AppData" it's hidden directory so you should toggle settings to see it, check how-to here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files#show-hidden-files=windows-7 Then upload all *.txt files from this directory. Or if there too much of them upload 4-5 of them.
Not seems like you have any problems I expect to see. I'm checked your screenshot and now I'm notice it's done on very start of game. Did you tried to wait and not press "ready" before red circle indicator (in upper right corner of screen) turns green? If you'll do so most likely everything will appear just fine.
I was on that screen the whole time while writing the above problem. Changed planets and spun the planet, to get it to fix it self. Yes I pressed ready, it took me to the planet, at first the screen was like a dark grey, then came up with the planets.... The one I was to start on with the problem as explained. I am still getting the other problem, with the game freezing. Are there any programs that can cause conflict with PA?. Because I started the game three times already and it each time froze.
I may have figured out what was freezing the game, silly Windows 7 updates, when Windows 7 has updates it always stops all other activity... But it never comes up on screen, that there are updates, stays hidden in the task bar. Found another problem, again a planet with a small amount of metal, this time it had the green zone to spawn my Commander, but the Commander is not visible on the surface at all. Normally you are place and it shows the Commander not in this game, that I started. CTRL + N doesn't help with this problem.
Try to install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 If you already have latest version you can try to run PA.exe directly. Though it's not recommended.
I am still having a problem running the game... There is no Windows 7 update problem now, don't know what causes PA.exe to stop working. Thought it might be my Anti-virus program, changed some things in it, but still have this problem. Did the above, all it could do is repair it, so I already have 4.5.
Yeah, I realized what I was doing wrong... too bad I was just starting to enjoy playing and it happen again. I just discovered the AI base and was starting to hit fight back.

that error means the uber launcher can't connect to the internet. (im referring to the post with the uber launcher problem "post #12")
Hi, im having a similar problem except when i go into private lobby and set everything up for my game when i hit start game that whole thing freezes.
