I agree with SXX - although not every Linux system may be stable, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. My system is fairly unremarkable (standard Ubuntu 64 bit, GTX660 under propitiatory drivers), and I have had no crashes since beta - in fact very few from the last dozen alpha releases. I haven't compared this to the same hardware under Windows, but I can certainly say that there are solid Linux setups out there.

Like another user asked, I'm looking forward to Alliance mode.

I also want gunships, but well, I'm really looking for Alliance mode.

I'm curious if the name you put into the credits as well as the names use for your planets can be changed later if you're not satisfied with them.

I've been holding off on upgrading to the $250 limited from the $200 digital, but don't know how long the limited will be, so I'm torn between rushing names I may not be happy with later, or losing the limited edition entirely. I've searched all over but can only find posts telling me that I have the ability to give two planet names and my name in the credits.. and other posts stating that I can name planets in-game. A lot of help those are.

I'm curious what, if any, timeline exists for introducing new units into the game and what those new units might be.

Well they said they want something like 100+ units in the game(Don't know if that counts buildings as well).

There's ... what, 30-40? right now? So not even half of the desired number.

Yea your right sly Neutrino mentioned 100 units & several different commanders. I would think units are separate from buildings. I hope they can come up with some original units/things in the game & they beef up the looks of units more...All the bots look extremely puny & ugly.. So far everything we see has been done before which makes for less strategy. I miss the unique stuff that was in SupcomFA bc it added so much strategy. Another thing will the game be as laggy as supcom was? Most 4on4 setons matches ended up lagfests..

Well I think bots are supposed to be "function before form" so it makes sense that they're small and kinda ugly. Also they fit the Lightning Bruiser part of the unit trifecta(With tanks being The Mountain and Air being Air).

Dont mind the T1 bots too much. But the advanced bots could use a more formidable/larger look...The adv arty bot looks puny...Need to make it look more like a fido, scary
BTW another question to the devs will there be diff heights/mountains/hills on the terrain of these planets?
"This can enable the Thud to climb steep hills and fire down on stationary targets, and the height advantage may make it difficult for the enemy to retaliate" TA if TA can do it PA better!

    No, do some reading.
Ive not played Supcom much online (didnt like the game), but from reading on here i understand that as it was p2p you were effectively throttled to the slowest machine/connection present in the game.
PA uses a server system where each player has a direct connection to said server, and as such their experience is only impacted by their machine, the server and the connection between the two.

Ah, well at least I did it correct. I PM'd Garat about it first after not finding anything but didn't get a reply, and thought this thread was where I would be supposed to ask, but... ..wow.

I don't know what to do now, but I guess I'll go forward with what I've got. Thanks very much. :)

I think it would be fun to strongly integrate terrain into the game, for instance by making sure that overcoming height differences affects move speed. I for one think having tanks racing down cliffs (and then crashing into a rock formation..) is potentially amusing.

First off, it's very nice to hear from you guys at Uber.:)

Would it be possible for the 'Contract artist' to be active on the forum? Maybe a few concepts in the "Backer Lounge" or this thoughts on the ideas/pictures shown in the "Describe you perfect Commander" tread or something alike.

Let's say you want a system of 1 scale 4, 2 scale 3, 2 scale 2's and 1 scale 1. Sounds reasonable in a normal solar system doesn't it? Can you render that with your computer, or is it restricted to like 6 scale 2's?

I've got 6 GB which may not sound as too much these days, but I am kind of hoping that I can run an average solar system like that fairly well.

I guess he should finish 102 Kickstarter custom commanders first.
