I cant play

Hello i am wolf and i am new to the forums and the game, i recently bought the game from steam for 60 dollars and i think the game is a ripoff because i cant play the game at all, it runs good but when i start a game all the planets are completly black and i cant see a thing as screenshot shown. i watched all the trailers and i love the game i was so excited seeing as i got this game for my birthday but no offence i think it is a waste of money now. also when i try to start a game i get an error message, also seen in screenshots.

What are your system specs? Can you try playing on a one scale 2 planet? Make your own with just one and try that.

The game is in beta. There is much left still to be done. So put a hold on calling it a ripoff – the game is in beta and isn't complete yet. I must stress that. The game is still buggy and is not very optimized. There are still many many performance improvements to be made.

There's several simple things you can do to have a playable game.

First off, try playing on a small planets in a single planet system. Right now, multiple planets introduce a lot of lag.

I would also recommend turning off HDR and putting the graphics settings to low.

Finally. When you create a match, you'll see a loading indicator that starts off as red, changes to yellow, and then goes to green. Wait until the indicator gets to green before you start the match.

Those steps make the game playable for the vast majority of players.

I think i found the problem, i am going to update my video driver, and if that doesnt work ill try a smaller scale planet and also i will copy my dxdiag info. also i said no offence that the game was a ripoff, i was just mad that this game i bought for 60 dollars wasnt working that ive been waiting 3 weeks to get. thanks for the help guys aswell

What you actually mean is this game that i preordered and have access to early development builds until its actual release, is a rip-off

Did you upload DxDiag after you updated drivers or not?

You need to install generic drivers from AMD website:
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/mobile?os=Windows 7 - 64
First try to download and run "AMD Mobility Radeon™ Driver Verification Tool". If it's give you drivers to install just use them.

If it's say that your hardware isn't compatible you need do that:

1. Backup important information from laptop.
2. Download and install "Latest Beta Driver" from same page.

Usually generic drivers don't cause any problems, but I'm recommend back backups anyway.

PS: If you met any problems in installation process you should do that:

1. Remove existing Catalyst using AMD Catalyst Un-install Utility:
   http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/catalyst-uninstall-utility
2. Restart your laptop.
3. Try to install beta driver again.

Then you need to update drivers as I explained. After it's done everything will work just fine.

i downloaded that driver that you sent the website for, do i need to download any more? because it still doesnt work and i have no idea what types of drivers i need to download

Create a new dxdiag.txt and upload it, so we can verify that you've successfully installed the correct drivers.

why would i need to do that, i know ive succesfully installed it, and your new to the forums u have 2 messages why are you here

yeah i shall uninstall it and reinstall, i watched it download and when it finished it came up with the finish message, but i will try again, again thanks for the help : )

And next time please upload your DxDiag.txt to new message. When you replace old one with new one it's might confuse other people around.

SXX, if I was Uber i'd pay you for what you do. Or at least award you with game keys, t-shirts and whatever promotion stuff they have around. Your doing very valuable work. Thank you on behalf of all the less tech savvy people out here for helping improve the community.

And to wolf: Don't worry, your 60 bucks will be well worth it. The game is good already in beta and i can't wait for the finished product.
