Before I say anything I want to point out I am not complaining so do not accuse me of it. Obviously, it has been two weeks since the last update and I wanted to know (along with I am guessing most of the community) what Uber has been working on? If someone from Uber sees this, a response would be greatly appreciated, or if I missed a forum or blog post somewhere and somebody else knows, could you let me know? Thanks.
The orchestra was playing recently. I've been told that Twatter has a few photos of the show. That's a pretty big milestone (given it was a KS stretch goal).
My guess is a lot more optimization/stability work than we've seen in a while. Hopefully given this long the improvements will be quite noticable
I thought of the song when i saw the title. Was sorely disappoint when i saw no mention of chickety china the chinese chicken...
I guess the next update will be a bigger one, for example: new units new UI more performance new everything and more everything tons of bug fixes
Followed by: I expect nothing less here. If there are no patches for 2 weeks it means something big is gonna go down next patch. either uber performance boost, new/finished features or total rebalance (probably not before new units). I am patiently waiting, but sadly most of community has lost interest it would seem
What I find surprising is not that we didn't have an update for the last 2 weeks. That's totally understandable, it's not that long. But why does it feel like nobody's in office anymore ? They hired Brad as a community manager (thought it'd be a full time job), but he's never around.
I don't think people have lost interest - it's unfortunate that the latest patch has a spate of stability issues which have led people to play other games until these are resolved. I guarantee that the Asteroid Lounge will be teeming again after the next update
Brad is more likely marketing than just forum community. So he's probably busy working with Steam, editing the press releases, working the Facebook page, planning the website updates and programming the next webcast. He's probably juggling 15 things at once while ramping up as a newbie at Uber. I don't envy his job.
The TA deep voice dude now announces each battle. Orbital unit launcher implemented. Nukes now say "Strategic launch detected" if you are on the planet. The cute cat commander is now available for play. Black screen issued fixed. Game now stable with less than 5 planets. This may or may not be true.
YA!!! I hope he announces stuff next patch.. I don't even care what LOL. Hopefully something about "The complete and utter annihilation of the other"
I participated in the Alpha I remember that but i wanted to see if anyone knew anything or if Uber would reply, i guess i just expected more often patches during beta, but I'm not sure why.
Except for rerolling the pool on faction 2 name there has been (almost) no posts from uber on the forums for the last 2 weeks. Whatever happens next patch (or 2-3 patches after the next) will be huge. It's not like them to keep the community in the dark.
https://forums.uberent.com/threads/an-update-beta-october-29th-2013.53361/ this thread is now irrelevant (mostly)
what I really find disturbing is how small the player base is. Nothing compared to other beta tests I ve played in. I hope it wasnt the wrong decision to release alpha and beta so early.
