I'm not sure if this is the right forum but since I've seen questions and comments regarding the game so far in this forum, I'm gonna go with it. First off, I don't mean to insult any concepts, etc, it's just an honest question and perspective. Anyhow. What exactly is so special about metal planets? They have normal metal points like the rest (no spamming of fabs). I, admittedly, haven't tried blowing up any due to their tentatively experimental status but is there anything particular about them? Do they possess any special purpose or meaning in terms of gameplay or is it a normal planet where you can try recreating War for Cybertron with 95% more planet destruction if you're into that kind of thing? I'm honestly curious and looking forward to some input.
They say that you might be able to activate some technology on the metal planets somehow, and make it like a death star or a Unicron. One thing they should do though is get rid of all the metal spots and make it one big metal spot where you can place metal extractors anywhere you want. it would make it worth going to metal planets, as currently you can make solar satellite, and make all of your problems of energy management go away, but this is not the same for metal. in fact, there should be some special trait for all planets that makes them worth going to that isn't using them to smash them into other planets.
