So this is my first post, and I am unsure if this has been asked before but here it is.

Is there any information on Planetary Annihilation server hosting for LAN parties and etc...

I know that they have not released a way to host anything on your own server (or normal computer for that matter). But I am wondering if there will ever be a way to host Planetary Annihilation form a Linux server (particularity one with no GUI). I am asking this because I own a server running CentOS 6.4 and I am looking for something fun to do with it once this game comes out. Naturaly I thought of having a LAN party.

From the feature list on their web site it says:

    DRM FREE
Play connected to the UberNet servers, your own private server, or offline, it’s your choice.

^ That is where I got the idea.

Devs said before that server have optional GUI for debug purposes, but I don't think there any problem with headless server for Linux.

At moment all UberNet servers are running on Windows, but it's obviously for easier debug in well known environment.

Not sure about Linux specifically. But LAN parties and own servers will be allowed by launch. Right now, as SSX said, all servers are UberNet only.
