Hi guys, i was thinking about making a timelapse in PA. It's the first time I recorded and uploaded a video so please bear with me while I understand why the video isn't in HD and other stuff.

You can watch the video below, please give me feedback and criticism about it to make next videos better.

Right now, the gamespeed is x4 and it lasts 14 minutes so it may be a bit long. I may raise the gamespeed if i get such criticism.

I made a second timelapse. This one was actually recorded before the first one but i messed up the end and i got frustrated. I edited the end and it's actually better.
I am definetely going to make multiple short scenes in the next one.

I hope it's fine to use Total Annihilation musics in videos.

Yeah it's fine to use once you edit it so the battle music starts as you are attacking or being attacked.

I had a choice to make for the third music, starting at the battle or ending at the explosion of the commander. I choosed the second option.
I aim to make timelapses with a single music and make sequences which adapt to the music.

Great idea, these are fun to watch. Seeing the explosions, orbital launcher & nukes flying around is also extertaining. I like that you kept the zoom level in enough so that we weren't just watching icons move around. Though in my opinion I found the zoom level much better on the 1v1 video.

You could try experimenting with the time-lapse speed see if you find anything worthwhile. Faster speeds would probably skip over battles, but would show the maps control fluidly changing as stuff is build & destroyed.

I realized i uploaded the file without sound for the second timelapse. Is it possible to upload over the existing video and keep the stats?

For this kind of video a projection would be really nice. Maybe you could record from different viewpoints and make a splitscreen timelapse video?

Agreed, it's nice to see base building and the battles, but that is near impossible to get from one viewpoint. Unfortunately, that adds a lot of editing for you just to get one video out.

This is definetely what i want to do. I think i'll use a x8 cam to make the videos shorter while i show both bases and battles.

    my tip : use this

it never stopped working, is gorgeous, and with the exact style and viewpoint you have there, would clearly delimit each base.

then you can also add the fab_spray.json file I have that makes the nanolathing spray white. It's much more neutral with all the different colors.
    told you guys

it's always been a part of my megapack.

currently this is what it looks like. I don't have a good shader for my icons right now, I'm looking for some hands.
