Does the community want a Community Media 2.0 thread?

The previous PA community Media thread has sadly not been curated in quite some time.

Seeing as a few people have requested that a new one be made I am offering to create a PA Community Media 2.0 thread. This thread would serve the purpose of allowing streamers/Youtubers to shamelessly advertise to the community in an unbiased way.

It would contain updated and verified links to channels as well as the content that was being given(list will contain more but this is a basic idea, subject to change).

Please vote in this poll on your opinion. If it is highly favoured that a new one be created then I will put my nose to the grindstone. If not then I will pursue the issue no further.

Please leave any comments below as to your opinion on the subject and what you'd like to see. Please be respectful as well as not arguing or advertising as to any particular person you like.

Would be nice to have a regularly updated one.

I'm not doing it yet, however I hope that people will want this. but it will be regularly updated.

I'm hoping something like this to be integrated into the PA home screen.
Somewhat like how FAF shows some of the casters on the right of it's home page.

I'm only a Maybe since I'm not quite sure what you are going to do.

I know your going to make a new thread, but how is that thread going to be different and not suffer the same pitfalls the first one had.

Mostly I will be confirming the channels, putting them in categories(in the amount of weekly videos are PA) and also organizing them(based upon whether they stream or youtube and then if they do matches, cast, tutorials, etc). The thread will be continuously updated daily as much as possible.

The problem is, the last time he posted on the post was June 26th. He has also stated on his player page that he is currently busy with college and will update when he can. That update was on October 3rd. At this point I believe that instead of leaving him with the responsibility to which he may or may not end up having time for. That "passing the torch" so to speak would be good.

As a streamer and Youtuber who did ask that my info be added to the list I must admit I am slightly frustrated. i could have gotten a lot more people if it had been updated. But he has not updated it in almost 3 1/2 months. This is unfair to the people who want to use it and unfair to the community who aren't seeing all the people.

"Will be back" is not a definitive time nor a sufficient answer. It simply means "wait" which is what I have been doing since June 7th. How much longer must I wait before I can be fed up?

While I'm not trying to say that Cheeseless must be "overthrown" or "tossed out" it's only fair to give the community the option to see about making a new one since he has been unable to fulfill the role he made for himself.

This is basically what Sony did with PlanetSide 2 with their built in Twitch and YouTube support and then put all the stream links up on their site. http://www.planetside2.com/game-streams
However the built in recorder probably isn't the best in terms of visual quality.

Well since it's pretty clear that there is at least some moderate interest in a updated media page I will get working on it in the morning.

Please don't post any information on here as I will be asking for it on the new post.

It's ok as long as you keep it carefully updated with the higher subscriber and regular video posters at the top. The previous list was just a huge amount of people with none or few videos of mediocre quality.
