    Hello,
i want to ask players, how use the WASD-cameracontroll:
How do you map the commands for units "around" WASD?
Do you use shortcuts for buildings? What is your mapping for this?

I understand, if some of you do not want to tell this here, because its probably part of their good gameplay, but maybe i can get some ideas to improve my mapping.

    thx in advance

I've been testing out a few things, seeing what feels most comfortable.

    at the moment i've got:

    WASD for camers

    Q for attack

    X for stop

most of the other hotkeys are the same, like F for fabbers, and C for commander.

Currently trying to decide on somewhere I can move the patrol hotkey that isn't so far away like P is.

I hope WASD controls are overhauled to act like Darwinia/Multiwinia. That game had the best Camera Controls for a casual RTS ever. You want to manage the battle from space? Okay. You want to footslog through the virus-infested chasms and watch the menace burn as your squaddies bombard it with air strikes? You do that. You want to poke around a little and look for alternative solutions before you engage? Fine by us.

It kinda takes the edge off. I know some people like to have their APM taxed 100% of the time all the time TO THE MAX, but I have enough stress in my life.

I haven't had time to play since they added WASD for the camera, but if they let us do shift+WASD, that's what I'll be using since that's what I used in StarCraft 2.

also, ctrl turns w and s into zoom, and a and d into rotate, which can be useful.

Yes, thats a good idea. So we could assign other command to the movekeys as well!
