    Hello all,

I found out that the orbital laser platform cannot fire on a commander that is in a crater of the moon, perhaps the same counts for craters or crevasses on other worlds but this is what I found. It fires on everything else normally (also when in a crater).

    --- edit ---
Correction, NOTHING can fire on the IA commander standing there... accept nukes.. finally took it out with those.

It is a bug that the com can be in the crater too is it not? If he is in there he is stuck.

Here's an AI commander that spawned down a trench on a metal planet. An orbital strike did indeed take 'em out though...

A commander could be dropped in a crater by a lander.

Can the AI do this yet? Didn't think they used orbital yet.

I just played a quick game against the normal AI and its commander spawned in a trench (build 63475). I suppose I should have just restarted the game when I saw that rather than building 3 pelters nearby, but it's been a lousy day and the AI has no feelings to hurt, so...

The ai has been capable of orbital for a while now.

You do realize you are responding to a comment from five months ago, right? ;)
It seems ruske found a really old thread to post in for some reason.

Well, there are those who complain if one starts a new thread for an issue that has already been reported. You can't please everyone...

Yeah you can really never win, it seems. Personally I don't care. I didn't waste that much time talking to dead people and I don't waste much time readinga new thread instead of an existing one. Makes no difference to me, so everyone do whatever you want! No rules! Anarchy!

True. I didn't mean it in a harsh way though. I mainly wrote it to make fun of @cptconundrum. :)
Anyway, I think the bug you are describing is bug FS#988. You can add your vote there if you'd like.

    Not taken harshly. :)
Thanks for the pointer to the bug number, I gave it a bump.
