Hi guys/gals, Not really the way I wanna introduce myself, but here goes... So...I know youve all seen this. Ive exhausted all of my resources...I wasnt able to get to any type of game screen until today. I just get to the disclaimer page, then nothing! It then says pa.exe has stopped working, blah, blah, blah... Its so frustrating, because I know this computer is capable of running this game. Never had a problem with games of any type on this thing. Attached is the Dx Diag... Please help me... Thanks...nice to meet all of you, and I truly appreciate any help.
Ive been having similar problems. I cant load a single game, without the game crashing or the server crashing. I posted my specs and am waiting for a similar answer. Hopefully we can figure this out.
Tattoo - Your drivers are a bit out of date ( Driver Date/Size: 1/10/2012 16:28:30, 8313856 bytes) and I'm also guessing your system isn't using your discrete graphics, but instead if using the integrated Intel graphics, which is not ideal. You need to get the latest and greatest ATI drivers for your card, and make sure your system is using that card to run PA, rather than the integrated graphics.
Ok, so I attempted to update my drivers, and it ended up going to an earlier version rather than a later version...wtf am I doing wrong??? I am so beyond frustrated with this crap. Ive never had to do this for a game. I feel like I have been severely ripped off...if I cant get this to work, then I guess I would've had more fun flushing $60 down the toilet. Grrrr....
If you go to the ATI website they ought to have a tool to identify and link you the latest update. Don't trust windows.
Well, I got it to work, but its kinda slow and a bit choppy...also, it'd be nice to know how the mechanics of the game works...theres no directions on how to play...
Can you upload updated DxDiag.txt? Actually on your discrete card game shouldn't be too choppy, you can check this video how-to: And check if you configured to run PA.exe on high performance AMD graphics card or not?
Ill take a look later, and Im not sure how to switch games to run on a different graphics card from another...Ill check out the video... I do appreciate the help.
