Is it me or hotkeys don't work properly?

I got in with the beta, but I've got some problems with hotkeys. They worked until I assigned multiple things to the same key(that couldn't conflict), for example mexes and ants on x. This makes x not work for either one. Seems like a bug as there is no reason non-conflicting things shouldn't be allowed to have the same hotkey. Ultimately I hope they make a hotkey layout similar to SC2-s grid, which heavily reuses hotkeys based on the unit's position on the command card thus making learning them very easy and allowing you to only use the left side of the keyboad for hotkeys.

But for now, do you guys know of any solutions to this? Playing without hotkeys seems weird, very slow and sluggish and just wrong for an RTS.

What is your OS? Windows, OS X or Linux?

On the subject of hotkeys, the camera anchor hotkeys aren't working if you're switching between two spots each on different worlds(if you do, you can select units but they won't take orders unless you zoom out of the planet and back in which defeats the purpose of camera hotkeys). Is this something they're already looking into? 'Cause this would make a second base on a different world much easier to tab over to.

Thanks, did not expect there to be such a solution as of now.

Besides unit orders and CtrlN, hotkeys never worked for me. Neither in alpha nor in beta.
    I too run Windows 7.
Mods are nice but basic functionality HAS to be in there without them.
