Hello, I just got into beta and have played a few games. I have some questions I hope you can answer. So far, when hosting/playing in a game, I see 2 planets. Is there a way to add more planets to the solar system? What about moons on planets? I have not played a game that has involved the other planet. The orbital launcher does not seem to work properly, or not how I would expect rather. Just so I am clear: 1. Can the launcher unit only carry 1 unit? Or multiple units? How do I pick something up? Highlight the unit and right click onto whatever land unit I want to put into orbit? 2. How do I move it to another planet? Right click on that planet? Can this be done in either view (galaxy, planet view) 3. Is it normal for it to take FOREVER to move to another planet? 4. Can planet "thrusters" (sorry, I can't remember the name of the structure that adds propulsion to planets) move planets? Or is this only for moons? 5. Wasn't there supposed to be a unit launching structure that shot units into space/orbit/moon? Other questions: Is there a way to shoot down satellites with units rather than ground structures? What other units/structures are on the way? I ask this because I have played on some size 4 planets, and never seen the need to get off to the other planet, mainly because it seems slow, and not beneficial due to the logistics of it. Any thoughts, input and discussion to better my understanding of the current state of the game (as well as future state) would be appreciated.
1. Pod can only carry one unit, only a commander or a fabber, and yes, its click on the pod, then onto the unit 2 Select your pod, scroll out to system view, zoom into the planet you want to land on, and have it move there, I just use the move option button 3 Sometimes it takes awhile, it will follow sling shot pathing, so often it will orbit your planet, then sling off towards the sun, orbit it then sling towards the landing planet, sometimes sling around its moon etc. it depends how far you are and the planet is moving as well, sometimes away from you, increasing your distance. 4 Halley Rockets only move small planets or moons, when you look at system view, if it has Grey Blocks, that shows how many you need to move it, if it has no blocks, its immovable. 5 Unit Cannon will be added late, but its short range, so only short jumps, or from moon to planets, etc also interplanetary nukes are to be added as well I think. 1A. Orbital fighters can shoot down things in orbit, like Solar Panels, Radar Sats, Pods and other fighters 2A Well if you leave to the other planet, and the other guy never built an orbital launcher, you can build a whole base up there uncontested. your energy and metal econ are shared as well.....also your other planet can create orbital fighters and lasers and move them to other planets to assist ground units. (note, orbital fighters can shoot ground units, but can remove orbital laser platforms and radar systems) Hope that helps
