Launcher keeps re-downloading patch. cant play

Every time i start the launcher it downloads a ~4mb patch.. When i launch the game says it still needs an update. I start the launcher again and the process repeats.

any ideas?

Run PA.exe directly from directory, use launcher only you know there is update.

Unfortunately, it doesnt make a difference if I launch it direct from the exe. The game itself says it needs to be updated and wont allow me to play.

This is quite strange.
Few questions: are you sure you have free space on disk where game installed? Also can you try clean install? (e.g just put launcher in new directory and let it download full game)

Also if you sure everything is updated you might try to edit version.txt and put current version here. Obviously if game are old it's will crash on joining game.

Just want to warn you again that if something is not really updated you'll get crash on joining games, so keep it in mind.
