I can't play games - PA not working for me :(

I downloaded and installed the game with no problems. I can log in fine.

But when I try to join a game and it says failed to connect, I click quick match and the game forever just shows a loading icon, and I can't back out, I have to alt+tab and close the window from the task bar. I try to publish a custom game and it freezes and stop responding then crashes to desktop.

I'm on Windows 7 (64-bit)
I have an AMD Phenom II X2 Processor 3.30GHz
8GB RAM

I'm able to play literally any brand new game right off the virtual shelf with no problems. So it's not a hardware issue, unless PA has some kind of incompatibility with my processor. I don't think it's a problem on my end.

Does anyone else have this issue?
can you suggest anything that might solve my problem? or is this just a bug that i have to wait for to get a fix?

Your graphics card drivers are 2.5 years (!) out of date.

That's never been a problem before.
Besides I don't see how that would be the problem. I can start the game, but it crashes when I try to search for games or make my own. Not when I try to load into a game. I can't even get to that stage yet. So unless the GUI is the incredibly graphically intense, my graphics card shouldn't be the problem.

Your graphics card are not problem, drivers - is the problem. When you running outdated drivers you can't get 100% of your hardware performance and you will always met glitches in brand-new games like PA.

Welp, i've updated the driver now. but i'm still encountering all the same problems.
If i get a chance later i'll make a short video showing what's happening if that will help?

Sounds like you are playing a massive solar system. Play a single planet system with a radius 600 planet.

No you don't understand, i can't even get to the bit where i can make a choice like that. I can't get through the menu's to get into a game without it freezing or crashing.

When you try to load in, do not click the screen - wait a minute or two for it to load.

Hello getting the same problem all drivers are up to date Nvidia Gtx650ti , get the game running the editor works no problem. But i can't start a single game , i managed to join 1 once but then all it dit was stick on the game starting screen and did nothing for the next half hour.

The game looks great but for the moment starting to feel cheated of my money for a game (yes i know it's beta) that doesn't work.

Second, try to use Uber launcher instead of Steam:

Steam version have known problems with loading times (at least with Nvidia), but if you run game though launcher it's should start games fast as expected.
