As a huge Supreme Commander fan and knowing that many of the devs are the same, would it be possible to bring back drag and drop waypoint commands? I know we can shift-click them easy and they even have a very similar graphic but one of the best things about Supreme Commander was how easy it was to use. Just by hovering over an early waypoint, you could right-click it to set a patrol and close the loop. You could then drag each point on the patrol to alter the patrol at any time! This was very useful as your base grew larger or you found the location of an enemy base and need to cover a different approach. Atm it's not as easy to use due to having a dedicated patrol button and afaik you can't alter it without redoing the whole route. Same for buildings as well, both being able to drag and drop them and to be able to string them by holding left-click and dragging. This is just one area that SupCom FA excelled in and I would love for it to become a part of PA. I also think PA will really need it as it's going to be a giant game and an easy to use UI would do wonders. I checked the confirmed features list but didn't see this mentioned so I apologize if this has been discussed already or confirmed.
I'd say this is such an obvious feature to have that we don't even need to talk about it. Why would they not put it in?
I agree that it seems like an obvious feature but there are many games out there that miss obvious features, even ones that have established histories. For example Rome 2 came out without the "fire at will" ability for melee units so players cannot conserve ammo for melee units that use pila before a charge. And this is one of my only concerns after just playing the beta for the first time the other day. It's good to know that others expect this feature as well!
I think SupCom's UI is a great example to follow. It's pretty apparent that the UI in PA is in a very early stage though and a lot is likely to change. My guess/hope is that we'll see a lot of this implemented later down the road, but I'd love to hear the devs chime in on this one.
