Little bit of fun I decided to make a montage of me crashing a moon into an enemy base! Anyone else got any cool montages or moments from the beta too? Also anyone want to play a multiplayer game to just turtle up and see the cool stuff? The AI annoys me at the moment.
Lucky one. I did not see any effect when smashing planet May be another try. It needs get improved. Also shock wave could be later implemented rather than instant kill. (max details, i7, 32gb ddr3, gtx 670) edit: as well as halleys orientation, at least geometric centre to be perpendicular to impact vector. may be some rotation could be nice effect.
Yeah I totally agree the rotation would be really cool! What graphics settings are you on? Your Pc specs are better than mine so I assume if you up your game detail you might see it or it could just be a bug. I am also playing this on Steam so that might have an effect. Cant wait to play some multiplayer I am just playing against AI at the minute. A shock wave would be awesome but some optimization would be needed these explosions were running at around 16 fps for me with major freezing and spikes!
I am also Steam backer of PA. I have all settigns maxed out, 1920 x 1080 @ 120Hz. Well, there was some effect like nuke, but no debris. I was little bit disappointed but ok, it is Beta. I believe Uber will achieve the visual effects as much close as possible to pre-rendered trailer for PA when releasing it. Then Star Craft and the micro-build orders can go to the hell. Currently the game is not optimized well, it is understandable, so I have also frame drops on big explosions.
Yeah I much prefer Rts games to fun and visually stunning than like starcraft difficulty with huge micro management! Giant battles and explosion for me! I can wait for the unit cannon to be impleted though having to haul units to planets is annoying to say the least. Still loving the beta though I have got 8 hours in it already XD
Seen the new AI updates? Really glad you got it working cause imagine how cool it would be if the AI crashed planets! Does the game run smoother with lower details?
I'm the only one who likes tanks T.T I actually don't like them in the current version. However I think they will be quite fun to use once they get more sensibe HP and cooler/more diverse weapons.
I agree I love having tanks and things but the beta tanks just feel underpowered and bland. I would some diverese vehicles like huge titan tanks or giant bot transporters or even a few cool small scouts. Some vehicles like from airmech with its huge array of different vehicles like portable radars or repair units!
