Just got the beta, and I patched it to the latest & greatest. Whenever I launch the game (in full screen) it just gives me a black screen, but I get sound. Pressing Alt+Enter will change PA to windowed mode, with sound and animations, but no UI or other interaction. The PA mouse cursor works through all of this. There is no CTD either. I attached my DXDiag output just in case. I'm running the latest stable drivers for my 7970, on Win 7 64bit. Any thoughts?
