The capsule picks up Commander or fab but that's all. Will not attach to orbital launcher. Any suggestions?
The Astraeus Orbital Transport doesn't function like the transport mechanisms in the kickstarter video. (They're arguably better because they're reusable) The orbital launcher currently functions more like a factory, and less like a transport mechanism. Once you have an Astreaus in orbit and you've picked up your commander (or fabber), just zoom in on the planet you want to sent it to and right click the ground to issue the move command. Then if all goes well you should see it fly through the solar system to get there. Once it's arrived, click on the unload icon then on the ground to unload your unit. Have fun!
Speaking of things I hope will change . . . I want to build massive one-use rockets that carry dozens of units . . .
Thanks for the reply. I tried this and the capsule floats across the surface of the original planet and that's it. It never goes into orbit, let alone approach the target planet. Any bug fix ideas?
I can't find the source right now, but I think garat has confirmed that there won't be multi-unit transport... Of course Uber may change their minds, but I think the thing that best mirrors what looking for is the Unit Cannon. Once we get the ability to feasibly send multiple units simultaneously, the interplanetary stuff will light up.
Unit cannon has some serious range limits, I would expect. But that's fine, asteroids with unit cannons will make fine unit transport platforms.
There's always the modding community! If there's a demand they'll meet it - Hopefully. I for one really want to see multi-unit transport - both inter and interplanetary, as things currently stand I feel that on larger planets air is pretty OP. Being able to quickly move a larger ground army around is fairly vital. Does anyone else miss being able to set up ferrying points on SC? I thought they were a great idea. But like I say, if not Uber, Modder
