Comnapping is back in galactic proportions

I just had a game against NoBrain.
We both sent our commanders to the same planet with Orbital transports.
I took the opportunity to give his commander a free ride.

Dose the orbital unit only transport your commander?

It transports anything. It's just like an Atlas, save that it's interplanetary.

Actually, while you can transport Coms and fabbers, it seems the transport will just shake its head at any combat unit you try to make it carry. What an uppity peacenik lander!

I heard you can easy win by making the lander suicide after napping. Haven't tried this for myself though.

No. That leads to a draw. In this game NoBrain self-destructed his lander so my commander got destroyed. Just a few seconds later though my orbital transport blew up, meaning his commander got destroyed and the game ended in a draw.

This was only because he had your commander too.

So basically, this was you:

You - Hey enemy! What happens if my orbital destroys itself while your stranded in space?

You - Hahaha! Fell into the sun! Wait, that commander was in charge of the orbital carrying me... that means.... no... nonono.... nonononNONONONONON-GAAAGGHHHHHHH

So basically, you shot yourself in the foot indirectly.

That's hilarious! However, can't the lander be shot as it's coming in to pick up the enemy cmdr? Either way, can the enemy cmdr be dumped in the middle of your awaiting army and destroyed?

Because you don't have to be on the same planet to kill the enemy comm? The lander can go literally ANYWHERE and descent out of the sky to toss your commander into the nether with almost no warning.

It may go back in, but not until it's reasonable. Since there's no counter, it's horribly broken. Not an ok thing to have.

I hope for it getting back in once you get a easy counter for it going. I find it to be hilarious.

You're building your base to face any enemy, right before you can lead a huge army to victory against your opponent something appears in the sky! It descends quickly, ignoring all your units heading for your commander. There is no place to run, it grabs him and flies away before exploding into a million pieces.
