Sorry I haven't been able to find threads with the same problem. Please take pity as my computer has tried its best to break my spirit all day.

Just got the beta key and have been trying to initialise the installer. However, once started, it immediately crashes and a window appears saying "PAlauncher has stopped working".

I have attached a DxDiag.txt if it's of any help.

    Thank you mighty computer-sages :)

Same here. I'm not sure if it effected anything, but I changed the install directory to C:\Games (custom directory).

Did changing the directory work? Because I have tried several different directories without success.

No, it did nothing. I was kinda wondering if that messed it up to begin with, but anyway. I also tried re-downloading it, to no avail.

Just for completeness or whatever, here's my DxDiag.txt file.

Thraxus, the installer is working now. It may be an uber update, or may have been a recent windows update that I applied. Maybe if you search for windows updates and try the launcher again?

Still not working for me. Do you know what windows updates installed specifically? cause Uber hasn't updated the launcher again yet. That I know of anyway.

There we go. I had .Net 3.5.1 disabled from when I was trying to get Fallout 3 working. Re-enable that, and I'm good to go. Hopefully see you in game.
