    Look at Giger! He's got a 2/1 post-to-like ratio!

It only counts after your first hundred posts. :p

Now, if you will excuse me, I have spent far to much time lollygagging around here today as it is. Science isn't going to research itself you know. MadScientist away!

Spoken like someone who's never been on the internet before!

A "Like" measures posts that FEEL good. Cat pictures feel good. Snappy one liners feel good. Owning someone who made you sad feels good. Walls of text and cutting critique doesn't feel good, no matter how true or informative it may be.

If anything, you're better off looking for the opposite.

    From some other thread:

    forums.uberent.com##div.extraUserInfo

added to Adblock solves those annoying like statistics very well. ;)

So, if i "like" this post, does that make it ironic, or justified?

I think it's ironic that you haven't "liked" the post. Is that justified?

any idea what time it will start (will it be 26th also in europe, or will it rather be in the night to 27th? or even in the morning of 27th for us :p)

I doubt they know yet, but I'd expect the earliest time would be around their usual time of day for livestreams. After they've had several cups of coffee, and allowing a bit of leeway for last-minute hiccups.

I'd expect those with alpha keys would be able to keep playing as usual, but keys will be awarded to beta only players slowly, so as not to overwhelm the servers.

Would be awesome if Uber gave out invites to the beta according to timezones. For instance, if you hand out invites to people in their mornings, they'll either be asleep or be too busy to come on immediately and annihilate the servers all at once.

A few questions regarding the Beta launch:
    • Is there an anticipated time on the launch date that the Beta will go Live (or even rough such as morning/night)?
    • Will all Beta players have access simultaneously, or will it be staggered like the Alpha?
    • Will there be a separate Beta sub-forum created?
    • Any chance of a trophy or other badge to signify Alpha users from Beta Users on the forum?

    1. You're kidding, right? :)
    2. Alpha players will roll right in. Emails for beta will be done as before, but should go out much faster this time
    3. You'll see.
    4. At some point, yes. Once we have badges setup. :)

    Was worth a try :p.
Just trying to work out a plan due to the joys of timezones.

If we knew a time, you know I'd be happy to share.. Ah, who am I kidding? I love teasing y'all. :)

But in general, even saying a day is something you all know we don't do very often. Narrowing it down to an hour ... just too many variables.

To be honest, I've actually been quite surprised by how much of a timetable you have already set.
