Still too many keystrokes for @TheTrophySystem You should abbreviate basic to just b, and advanced to a. Even shorter than t1 and t2 now.
keyboard wear and tear Cover me while I upgrade amex to bmex. Yeah, its pretty obvious there that your answer doesn't work in practice, am I right? t2 will always be simplest to refer to a unit. I tell you what, I will refer to t1 units as cat units, and t2 units as dog units. Just to show that it doesn't matter what they are called. However, you will probably find it annoying in... yesterday.
Why does it matter about how many keystrokes, this thread is getting very off topic. I really suggest we just end the conversation now. Beta is in 9 days, its coming soon guys, just a little longer.
I honestly like the idea of Standard and Advanced... It gives the first set a nice robust feel rather than a limited one.
STD as an abbreviation for standard would work very well I think. Especially if you have to google an unit it would narrow the search down nicely. Well, perhaps grossly.
Mavor and I talked about removing the tech levels, so we settled on basic and advanced. Mind you, the only one that really matters is ADV. If it's not ADV, by default it's a basic or standard unit, whatever you delightfully pedantic people prefer. ;-)
